The DJ602 high-speed comprehensive inspection train departed from Xi'andong Railway Station and headed toward Yunxi Railway Station on April 14, marking the start of the maximum-speed test phase for the debugging and testing of the Xi'an–Shiyan High-speed Railway.
After several rounds of testing, the train reached the target test speed of 385 kilometers per hour, laying a solid foundation for the railway's opening and operation.

The test was conducted across 20 speed levels, ranging from 140 km/h to 385 km/h. The inspection train accelerated to 110 percent of the line's designed operating speed, verifying the safety, stability, and compatibility of the line's equipment under high-speed conditions.
Deng Jun, a representative of China Railway Xi'an Group, said, "Since the launch of full-line debugging and testing on the Xi'an-Shiyan High-speed Railway, we have completed multiple rounds of tests at various speed levels and collected thousands of sets of inspection data, providing sufficient technical support for this highest-speed test. The success of this speed-up test indicates that the line's equipment is ready for high-speed operation."

The Xi'an-Shiyan High-speed Railway is a vital part of Shaanxi's high-speed rail network. Passing through Xi'an, Shangluo, and Shiyan, it connects with the already completed Wuhan-Shiyan High-speed Railway. The newly built main line stretches 256.93 km with a designed speed of 350 km/h. Among them, the Shaanxi section totals 170.58 km and the Hubei section 86.35 km. Five stations are set up along the route, including Xi'an East, Lantian, and Shanyang.
Upon the opening of the Xi'an‑Shiyan High‑speed Railway, travel time between Xi'an and Shiyan will be shortened to nearly 1 hour. The journey from Xi'an to Xiangyang is expected to take 2 hours, and from Xi'an to Wuhan 3 hours, which will further improve the national high‑speed railway network, and narrow the spatial and temporal distance between Shaanxi and regions such as the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta.
